Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[68Ga]-LNTH-2401 (formerly known as 68Ga-RM2 or 68Ga-DOTA-RM2) is a clinical-stage radiodiagnostic radiopharmaceutical developed by Lantheus. It is a gallium-68 (68Ga)-labeled positron emission tomography (PET) tracer whose active ingredient is the DOTA-RM2 peptide, which acts as an antagonist targeting the gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR). GRPR is overexpressed in several solid tumors, including prostate and breast cancers. [68Ga]-LNTH-2401 is being developed primarily for the diagnosis and staging of prostate cancer (both newly diagnosed and biochemically recurrent) and serves as a companion diagnostic to the therapeutic radiopharmaceutical LNTH-2402 (177Lu-RM2). Lantheus acquired global rights to the RM2 program from Life Molecular Imaging in June 2024.
